Process
The principle of diazo copying is based on trans illumination. A written or drawn original is placed on the light sensitive diazo paper or film and is illuminated. In so doing, the light passes through the document onto the diazo paper and reduces the photosensitive layer there, with exception of those place on the document which are covered by drawing text or text. These places are then converted into dye by the subsequent development and thus yield a true image of the original.

Shelf Life
The normal shelf life of the paper is around 120 days from the date of manufacturing. The life of the paper can be enhanced provided optimum storing conditions are maintained. Recommended room temperature is 25°C and relative humidity 60%. Always store the rolls in vertical position and keep away from liquid ammonia and direct Sun light.
To get the best print result
- The speed of Exposure should be maintained according to the clarity of the master tracing and the quality of the Diazo on the base paper.
- The developing time with liquid ammonia should be decided with a small print, before going for mass production.
-
Always use a voltage stabilizer for the printing machine to ensure uniform light emission.
Availability
The Super Fine and Air Mail varieties of paper are available in ISI and Non- ISI standards of cut sheets from A4 to A0 sizes against special orders
